When we first encountered the peach house on Chapin St it looked as if nobody had been living there for years and the neighborhood squirrels had taken it over. This was due mostly in part to poor maintenance and conditioning of the property by the previous owner. The paint outside was peeling, the weeds on the lawn grew so densely that they concealed much of the entrance and the drive way, well there was no driveway.
BingStudent allocated and invested nearly one hundred thousand dollars to ensure that the home could not only be livable again but enjoyable as well.
After months of hard work and extensive contracting, 79 Chapin has been gutted from the inside out and completely remodeled with new floors, beefier walls and a redesigned front facia for the house. Specifically the floors of the house have been fitted with carpets and hardwood so that the house is classy enough to invite your professor over for diner in and cozy enough to make you forget about the cold Binghamton winters.
The bedrooms all come with new mattresses as well as new or reconditioned night stands, desks to complete your studies on and cabinets big enough to house all of your belongings while stylish enough to impress any guest you have over. There are a total of eight individual bedrooms each equipped with a full size mattress and each one can be found in close proximity to one of the three full bathrooms.
Both of the kitchens throughout the house have been equipped with new stainless steel refrigerators, ovens, and microwaves; creating an environment that will motivate students to get out of bed and make that ham and cheese omelet they've been craving.
To top off interior furnishings, two forty inch flat screen televisions and couches that seat four have been fitted in each of the living rooms of the two apartments in order to enhance the quality of residence of the students. To allow the students to stay indoors and offer them more time to themselves we've equipped the house with a full-size set washer and drier so that they can stay away from wasted travel time throughout their days.
The final portion of the restoration and reconstruction project is currently in progress and it includes the extraction and removal of excess land on the right hand side, facing the house, of the lawn in order to push the drive way further into the property. This will allow for at least four resident vehicles to be parked off the street. The front of the house will then be reconditioned and repainted. All projects are estimated to be completed by early spring.
We're sure that the renovations applied have changed the dynamic of the Peach house completely, making it much more user friendly and much more enjoyable to live in. For only $450 a month per person, the new Peach House at 79 Chapin is a steal. Set up an appointment today and come take a look at all the new features it has to offer.
